Evaluation Question 1: In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Evaluation Question 2: How effective is the combination of you main product and ancillary texts?

Evaluation Question 3: What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Sophie and I thought the most effective way to answer this question was to prepare some questions and film people's responses to them after they saw our main product and both of our ancillary texts. We did also interview a few more people, however we lost some and couldn't find them but these are the one we had left. The questions we asked are below with the video of us interviewing people:

1. Does the music video go with the ancillary texts?
2. Did the characters and the location match the video?
3. Do you think the camera angles helped to message that was being portrayed?
4. Did the imagery of the video match the soundtrack?
5. What improvements could be made/ what could have we done differently to the video?

Age Rating on DVD's

I have looked at the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) to see what age rating there are, below is what I found:

For my ancillary text on the DVD cover I am going to put the symbol which is suitable to all to watch as it Peter pan is from Disney.

Ancillary Text: DVD Cover Research

I have looked at the Peter Pan film DVD cover and a music DVD cover to get ideas from, so I can decided what to add to the DVD cover I am going to create as part of my ancillary text.

I am also going to add an age rating, which will be suitable for all age rating. In addition to this I will also use publisher to make the cover.

Ancillary Text: Website Research

For one of my ancillary texts I am look at creating a website about the artist which is Ruth B.

I have looked a a few artists websites to get an idea of what they are like, below is Ruth B's website and Ed Sheeran's:

Ruth B's website is a lot more detailed about her, it shows her tours, music releases, videos and news about her.

I have taken screenshots of the website a put it together to show what different thing it has to offer and the design of it.

Most of the photographs on Ruth B's website are dark and then there is colour and things moving such as hearts and lips. The dark photographs and the colour contrast making it stand out, therefore causing people too look at it.

In comparison to Ed Sheeran's website, which is only got his latest album on it and a place to put you email address so you can receive updates on what he is doing or releasing.

The blue background stands out with black writing which would help to catch people's attention.

At the bottom of the website it has links to his social media.
